Adult Orthodontics

In recent years, there has been an increasing demand for orthodontic treatment from adults.  It is common for us to treat the children in a family only to find that the mother or the father requesting treatment.  There are a number of reasons why this is taking place:

1. In real terms, orthodontics has never been more affordable - if the housing prices have doubled in the last 10 years, the cost of orthodontic treatment has only gone up approximately 20% in the last 10 years.  This also means that the adults, whose parents could not provide them with orthodontic treatment in the past, can now easily afford the treatment.
2. There have been amazing technological advances in orthodontic techniques and materials, resulting in faster treatments, less discomfort during treatment and better long term results.
3. There have been many technological to make orthodontic appliances less visible - smaller braces, aesthetic braces, lingual braces (see Lingual braces page).

Because we enjoy treating Adults as well as children, these are the special accommodations that we make for our adult patients:

• We treat all patients in private treatment rooms - your privacy is assured
• We realise your time is just as important as our time - we are punctual and do not keep you waiting for your appointment.
• We offer a range of appointments after 5:00 pm to minimise disruption to your work.
• We offer aesthetic braces to all our adult patients at no extra charge.
• We offer Lingual braces for patients that want to keep their braces totally invisible.
• We offer INVISALIGN for patients who do  not want braces.
