Not all smiles are created equal.  While orthodontists by definition "straighten teeth", some straight teeth look like straight teeth, while some straight teeth end up as great smiles. 

There is a lot more to a great smile than just straight teeth.  The way the upper teeth are positioned, the fullness of the lips, the relationship between the lips, teeth and other structures of the face, the inclination of the back teeth, the curvature created by the edges of the front teeth, the relationship between the teeth and the lips both at rest and during normal function are just some of the things we consider while planning your orthodontic treatment.
